The participants of the meeting considered a number of organizational issues, identified the priorities for further development of this body. Special attention was paid to consideration of a new edition of the Regulation on the Scientific Council of the DonSUIA and its updated structure.
First vice-rector of the DonSUIA, doctor of law, professor Yehor Nazymko emphasized the need to expand the authority of the body, as well as the need to ensure the possibility of including leading scientists and practitioners working at other institutions, representatives of public organizations and stakeholders. This will help to improve the quality of scientific work of the University, as well as the process of study of education seekers for the third (educational and scientific) higher education degree.
Head of the department of scientific work organization of the DonSUIA, doctor of law, associate professor Hanna Buha acquainted members of the Scientific Council with priority areas of development of the University research infrastructure, the peculiarities of cooperation with practical units of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in terms of joint research. She also informed about the procedure of checking scientific works for plagiarism and particularly focused on the content of the Recommended Work Plan for research societies of the DonSUIA cadets and students for 2024-2025 academic year.
Following the results of the constituent meeting, members of the Scientific Council determined the current state of the body’s activities and outlined the main work activities for the 2024-2025 academic year.
