The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, in partnership with the NGO «International Association of Polygraph Examiners», held a dialogue platform «Polygraphology in the context of modern security challenges».

The event brought together scientists, practitioners, polygraph examiners, psychologists, representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives of the security and defense sector of Ukraine to discuss current issues of its development.


During the work of the platform, the participants considered modern approaches to the use of polygraph in law enforcement, personnel management, psychological support of professional activities, and the work of the security and defense sector. Particular attention was paid to the issues of standardization of polygraph examiners professional training, ethical aspects of conducting psychophysiological studies using polygraphs, and the introduction of innovative methods into practical activities.
An important area of the discussion was the interdisciplinary approach to the development of polygraphology, which involves combining the achievements of psychology, law, forensics and modern information technologies to effectively solve security problems.
The participants also shared practical experience, presented the results of scientific research and outlined current challenges and prospects for the development of polygraphology in Ukraine.

Holding the dialogue platform became an important step in strengthening professional dialogue, disseminating best practices, and forming a modern scientific and practical environment in the field of polygraphology that meets the current needs of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
