A training seminar on current issues of academic integrity was held for lecturers, researchers, and higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The speaker of the event was Olena Artiushenko, manager of the international company StrikePlagiarism. In her speech, she explained in detail the rules for working with academic texts, focusing on the specifics of checking, algorithms for generating similarity reports, and analyzing research results.
The participants focused their attention on modern tools for detecting signs of artificial intelligence in scientific and educational works, as well as on methods for recognizing hidden text modifications.
In the course of the seminar, the expert demonstrated practical examples of work analysis and presented modern approaches to ensuring transparent and objective assessment of the results of educational and scientific activities.
During the final discussion, the DonSUIA representatives considered practical aspects of implementing the norms of the Law of Ukraine «On Academic Integrity», and also shared their own experience of integrating the StrikePlagiarism system into the University’s educational process.
