On the basis of a modern training ground the «Court Hall» of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs a two-round practical event, a professionally oriented platform «Court Speech» was held.
The main feature of the annual event was the fact of involving highly qualified experts-practitioners in a professional jury, which included Andrii Sahun, judge of the Kirovohrad District Administrative Court, Olena Lukianova, judge of the Podilskyi District Court of the city of Kropyvnytskyi, and Iryna Zahreba, retired judge of the Kirovskyi District Court of the city of Kirovohrad.
12 participants prepared and delivered court speeches based on real criminal proceedings, trying themselves in the roles of prosecutors and defense attorneys.
The invited judges highly appreciated the professional level of training higher education seekers of the DonSUIA and emphasized the practical value of such simulations for the formation of future law enforcement officers, in particular for pre-trial investigation bodies.
Special prizes for the best legal logic, knowledge of laws and oratory were awarded to cadets of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation bodies – Sofia Snizhko, Sofia Tretiak and Vladyslav Bosyi.
Following the reasoned debates, all participants received official certificates.
