On May 27, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was held, during which a number of important issues related to scientific, educational and organizational activities of the University were considered.
Primarily, members of the Academic Council listened to and discussed the reports of Head of the DonSUIA Organization of Scientific Activity Department, Doctor of Law, Associate Professor Hanna Buha and Head of the DonSUIA Department of Postgraduate (adjunct) and Doctoral Studies, Candidate of Law, Senior Research Fellow Yuliia Danylevska «On the state of scientific work of the University’s higher education seekers and measures to improve it».
Then the Academic Council passed over to considering educational issues. Those present listened to the reports made by Head of the Education Quality Assurance Department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olha Haponiuk, and Head of the Educational Process Organization Department, Doctor of Philosophy Artur Voloboiev, «On Approving Educational Programs and Training Curricula (by Major) for the DonSUIA higher education seekers of 2026 admission year».
In addition, the Academic Council members considered a number of organizational and current issues. In particular, the issue of granting an academic leave to a third-year postgraduate student of the correspondence form of obtaining education, the issue of creating one-time specialized academic councils for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, as well as granting a permission to individual higher education seekers (bachelor’s degree in the specialties «Law», «Law Enforcement Activities», «Economics») of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Social Management of the DonSUIA to take their certification exams online due to special circumstances.
Also Regulations of the DonSUIA Training Center «Education of Integrity» were considered and approved, as well as recommendations for participation in the Contest for the best scientific, scientific-technical and career guidance production in the Ministry of Internal Affairs apparatus, territorial bodies, institutions, organizations and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, besides competitive production of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs for 2025 was also regarded.
The final stage of the meeting was adoption of a decision on recommending issue 2 (14) for 2026 of the scientific journal «Central Ukrainian Journal of Law and Public Management» for publication.
