DonSUIA first-year students of the «Law Enforcement Activities» specialty visited the Kropyvnytskyi District Police Department of the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region.
The study visit was conducted by Deputy Head of the Regional Department of Human Rights Compliance of the MONP in the Kirovohrad Region, Police Captain Ilia Chernyshev, and Inspector of the Human Rights Compliance Sector of the Kropyvnytskyi District Police Department, Police Lieutenant Viktoria Zeikan.
During the meeting, the speakers told the students about the specifics of the territorial police unit work. The young people toured the zoned premises on the ground floor, which are used by police officers in their daily activities to work with visitors, invited and detained persons.
The future law enforcement officers were also introduced to the information subsystem «Custody Records», which provides accounting for detained persons and monitoring of compliance with their rights while staying in police custody. Special attention was paid to the activities of the human rights sector and practical aspects of its work.
In addition, using real video materials, the students analyzed difficult service situations, in particular the risks of self-harm among detainees.
