Higher education seekers from the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, at the DonSUIA, took part in the prestigious Yaroslav Zeikan Judicial Speech Contest, organized by the EQUITY Law Firm.
The participants were welcomed by Deputy Directors of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv, Nataliia Melnychuk and Yevhenii Herasymenko, Head of the State Judicial Administration, Maksym Pampura, as well as Oleh Malinevskyi, Managing Partner of EQUITY Law Firm, who congratulated the contestants and wished them further success in their professional activities.
At the contest the University was worthily represented by cadets Ihor Sendik, Volodymyr Hlushchenko, and Artem Bondarenko, whose speeches attracted the jury’s attention and became a vivid example of professional training of future law enforcement officers.
The format of the contest was to reproduce a real trial: the participants prepared speeches for the prosecution and defense based on complex case plots. In the face of constantly changing circumstances, the cadets had to instantly adapt their arguments and speak under significant time and procedural pressure.
High skill and accuracy of argumentation allowed the DonSUIA representatives to receive honorary diplomas «Best Speaker», which became a significant confirmation of their ability to convincingly defend a legal position at the highest level.
