As part of the innovative educational project «Edu DonSUIA_Campus», a meeting was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs with head of the support department of the 15th operational brigade headquarters of the National Guard of Ukraine «Kara-Dag» named after Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bohdan Zavada – Lieutenant Colonel Artem Martynenko.
He told those present about his own experience of service and explained how units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine interact during the periods of armed aggression.
During the meeting the attention was focused on the cooperation between the National Guard and the National Police of Ukraine. The higher education seekers got familiarized with practical aspects of their joint work– from filtration measures and public order protection to logistical support and protection of critical infrastructure facilities. They also discussed issues of mine safety and the use of UAVs.
A special element of the meeting was viewing of video fragments of real operations of units of the «Kara-Dag» brigade, which allowed the police officers to better understand the specifics of the NGU service.
The «Edu_DonDUIA_Campus» project will continue to involve practitioners with combat experience to combine training with the realities of service and improve the quality of law enforcement training.
