An important event took place at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs: the “Cadets’ Shield” career guidance and national-patriotic training program was launched here for the first time.

The event, which covered students from 10 communities of the Donetsk region, is being implemented within the framework of the Concept of Military-Patriotic Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration

The DonSUIA rector Serhii Vitvitskyi welcomed the participants of the event, emphasizing that such initiatives allow young people to familiarize themselves with cadet’s routine, gain key practical skills, and realize their own role in the future of the country.
The grand opening was attended by vice-rector of the University, Ruslan Vradii, and the representative of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, head of the department of family, youth, and mass events of national and patriotic education, Liliia Zolkina.
The training program was rich and diverse: the students underwent team building training, mastered drill and fire training, participated in a national-patriotic quest, and learned more about the history and traditions of the DonSUIA.
“Cadets’ Shield” became the first step for young people in learning about the profession of a police officer and forming an active civic position.
