The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is not just a date on the calendar, but a reminder of the value of dignity, respect, and equal opportunities for every person. These ideas became the basis for the information digest “Strong in Spirit” in the general library of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The speaker of the event, librarian Kateryna Bohdashova, emphasized that every person has the right to dignity, respect, and equal opportunities.
The cadets actively participated in the discussion, considering the challenges facing people with disabilities and, most importantly, the rules of correct behavior so as not to offend them or create barriers.
So that the theory would not remain just words, the event was supplemented with interactive exercises: “Friendly Hands”, “Portrait in a Circle” and “Who is this?”.
The classes confirmed: the DonSUIA forms not only specialists, but also people capable of building a society of equal opportunities.
