A discussion platform “Violence in Modern Society: Legal Assessment, Causes and Prevention” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, as part of the All-Ukrainian campaign “16 Days Against Violence”.

The event brought together representatives of Kropyvnytskyi social sphere, human rights organizations, public associations and educators, who discussed current problems of violence and possible ways to overcome them.

The participants considered various forms of violence inherent in modern society, drawing special attention to their legal assessment in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and practical challenges in the field of protecting victims.

Experts shared their experience in prevention work, emphasizing the importance of intersectoral interaction and joint efforts of authorities, public structures, and educational institutions. Special emphasis was laid on the need to strengthen social support for victims of violence and create safe environment in communities.
The educators drew attention to the role of educational activities among youth in building tolerance and mutual respect as key factors in preventing violence in the future.
