On the occasion of the Cybersecurity Month, a series of cyber hygiene trainings for higher education seekers of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units named after E.O. Didorenko has started at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
During October, the events will be conducted by qualified specialists of the DonSUIA- Head of the Department of Operational Investigative Activities and Information Security Olha Lunhol and Associate Professor of the Department of Operational Investigative Activities and Information Security Olha Haborets together with the colleagues from other higher education institutions with specific learning conditions who joined online. Among the speakers: were Svitlana Luchyk (the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs), Eduard Ryzhkov (the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs), Dmytro Ovsianiuk (the National Academy of Internal Affairs), Ihor Fedchak (the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs), Tetiana Kovaliova (the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine) and Mykola Zmaha (the National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine).
During the trainings, the participants will learn the basic principles of cyber hygiene, methods for protecting personal data, ways to detect and counter phishing attacks, security settings for mobile devices, and prevention of malware.
The higher education seekers will also learn how to create strong passwords, use social networks and digital services safely, developing practical skills necessary for effective work in modern cyberspace.
The events are held on the basis of the training room on the basics of cyber hygiene, created with the support of the OSCE and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacities of National Partners to Strengthen Cyber Resilience.”
