Students of the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, together with physical education teacher Anna Krynychna, took part in the Steel Run half-marathon dedicated to supporting Ukrainian defenders. About 500 participants joined the event.
The start of the race took place from the Flower Clock on Metallurgists Avenue. The athletes covered distances including those of the “Steel Run” of 21 km length, the “Cup of Schools ” – of 1.3 km, as well as children’s races of 100 and 200 m. Fans of Nordic walking and cycling could choose the appropriate distances, and veterans competed in the “Honorary” distance of 1 km.
Lyceum students emphasized that participation in the half marathon is an important component of forming a healthy lifestyle, developing endurance and team spirit. It is also a manifestation of patriotism and support for Ukrainian defenders.
