The DonSUIA higher education seekers took part in the program of the 55th All-Ukrainian Theater Festival “September Gems”, which took place within the framework of the evnt “From the Tobilevyches to the Present Day”. The event was traditionally held in a landmark place for Ukrainian culture – Ivan Tobilevych (Karpenko-Karyi) Museum-Reserve “Khutir Nadiia”, which is a branch of the Central Ukrainian Regional Museum of Local Lore.
At the beginning of the celebration, Deputy Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration Kateryna Koltunova and First Deputy Head of the Regional Council Yurii Semeniuk, together with the University students, laid flowers at the monument to Ivan Karpenko-Karyi.
The highlight of the program was performance of the trio of the Hryhorii Veriovka Ukrainian National Choir. The group impressed the audience with its unique theatrical expressiveness, exquisite costumes, polyphony, and incendiary dances, presenting a true celebration of art.
At the end of the event, there was a conversation about the history of Ukrainian theater, in particular about its Founders and the places associated with their life and work in the Kirovohrad region. Special attention was drawn to the presentation of Hanna Veselovska’s book “Mykola Sadovskyi. Actor, Director, Entrepreneur”
which became a symbolic bridge between the glorious past and the inspired present of Ukrainian theater.
