On the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine and Veterans Day, a mini-football competition dedicated to the memory of Valery Kravchenko was held among war veterans at the new modern multifunctional playground of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The hero from the village of Fedorivka, the Kirovohrad region, went his path from participating in an anti-terroristic operation to a full-scale war and died in battle on March 5, 2022, while performing his duty to the state.
Four teams of law enforcement agencies of the Kirovohrad region took part in the competition: The “Riativnyk” (State Emergency Service of Ukraine), the DonSUIA, the”Titan-PSD” and the “Kropyvnytskyi-PH”.
The winner was the “Riativnyk” team, which demonstrated a well-coordinated team game and steadfast character. Special recognition was given to the goalkeeper of the DonSUIA team, a cadet of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, Serhii Bezhuba
who was awarded the title of “The Best Player of the Competition” and a personalized T-shirt from the Dynamo football club (Kyiv).
The competition became not only a sporting event, but also a symbolic tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers, which emphasized that war veterans remain an example of courage and inner strength for modern Ukrainian society.
