In Kamianske of the Dnipropetrovsk region, an All-Ukrainian competition “Victory of the Undefeated ” took place – an event that goes beyond sports and becomes a symbol of human strength, unity and indomitable spirit.
The event brought together almost 190 veterans from all over the country who went through the front, injuries, loss of health, but did not lose their lust for life. Among them is a specialist who works at the department of social and humanitarian work and monitoring of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, war veteran Mykhailo Drobotenko.
In March 2022, while performing a combat mission in Severodonetsk, Mykhailo was blown up by an enemy mine. As a result of the injury, he lost his both lower limbs. However, even such a loss did not break his spirit. He became an example of strength, resilience, and thirst for victory for the whole Ukraine.
At the competitions, the veteran won all the first places in his disciplines: – bench press 100 kg – 21 times per minute (1st place); – ski simulator – 450 m in 100 seconds (1st place); – bench press of two 24 kg kettlebells while sitting – 33 times (1st place).
