At the beginning of the regular meeting of the Academic Council, rector of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Serhii Vitvitskyi, congratulated Olha Merdova, head of the department of administrative and legal disciplines of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activities units, on receiving a diploma for taking the 3rd place in the rating “Best Scientist – 2024”.
Members of the Academic Council listened to the reports of head of the University organization of scientific work department on the progress of implementing plans for scientific research and editorial publishing activities of the University for 2025, as well as of head of educational and methodological department on the preliminary distribution of the educational workload regarding scientific and pedagogical staff of the University departments for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The participants of the meeting discussed the efficiency of career guidance activities to ensure competitive recruitment of applicants to the DonSUIA in 2024/2025 academic year and the activities of the University postgraduate and doctoral studies in 2024/2025 academic year.
Also, the Academic Council considered the following issues : awarding academic titles to scientific and pedagogical staffers; recognition (confirmation) of the results of advanced training of the DonSUIA scientific – pedagogical and pedagogical staffers, certain types of their activities as upgrading qualification in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 21, 2019, No. 800 “Some issues of upgrading qualification of pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staffers”; recommendations for participation in the contest for the best scientific, scientific-technical and career guidance products of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, territorial bodies, institutions and enterprises belonging to the sphere of the Ministry of Internal Affairs administration; competitive products of the DonSUIA for 2024; approval of the theme and appointment of reviewers for conducting a preliminary expertise of the dissertation; approval of updated Professional programs for short-term advanced training of police officers.
Members of the Academic Council recommended for publication: a scientific journal “Central Ukrainian Journal of Law and Public Management” No. 2 (10) 2025; a scientific journal “Bulletin of Luhansk Educational and Scientific Institute named after E. O. Didorenko”, Issue 2 (110), 2025; scientific and practical recommendations “Qualification of administrative offenses provided for by Article 172-7 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses”; a scientific and practical manual “Forensic Technology: Theory and Practice”; scientific and practical recommendations “Administrative and legal restrictions on human rights and freedoms when ensuring public security by the National Police of Ukraine.”
