As part of practice-oriented training, cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs underwent «Electronic evidence in criminal proceedings» training.
Yevhen Bondarenko, an operational officer of the cybercrime countermeasures unit in the Kirovohrad region of the National Police of Ukraine cyberpolice department, shared real-life examples and explained the algorithm for extracting, storing, and analyzing electronic evidence, the process of their identification, and computer technical expertise.
He paid special attention to the peculiarities of drawing up procedural documents related to digital data.
«Such events contribute to the formation of practical competencies and awareness of modern tools for combating crime among police officers», emphasized the co-organizer of the training, associate professor of the department of operational and investigative activities and information security of the DonSUIA, Olha Lunhol.
In an open dialogue format, the cadets asked questions and discussed the problematic issues that law enforcement officers face in the digital environment.
