Cadets of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activities units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs were familiarized with the work of the “102” service department and the situational center of the Main Office of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region.
Deputy head of the department – head of the situational unit of the department of organizational – analytical support and operational response, police lieutenant colonel Tetiana Dmytruk, informed about the main tasks and peculiarities of the unit’s activities.
During an excursion, she demonstrated the operation of various surveillance cameras and individual analytical programs, and also explained their role in police activities, in particular while investigating crimes.
Head of the “102” service department, police major Ihor Shuk, explained the procedure for processing messages by operators and explained the algorithms for responding to various types of offenses. He also described the work of dispatchers in coordinating police teams.
«Every law enforcement officer must follow the procedure for responding to citizens’ reports and know its internal mechanism, because this effectively contributes to combating crime», admitted Ihor Shuk.
