Within the framework of cooperation with the system of free legal aid, students-clinicians of „Legal Protection” clinic of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, under the guidance of experienced mentors, held a reception of citizens in need of legal support.
The project’s goal is to protect human rights by ensuring equal access to legal information and justice, strengthening legal opportunities and capacity of representatives of socially vulnerable groups, territorial communities and societies.
The higher education seekers consolidated their theoretical knowledge on various issues, including social, labour and family disputes. They helped to prepare applications, appeals and other legal documents, and took part in the legal analysis of complex cases. The students also mastered practical lawyer skills in terms of communication with clients, negotiation and teamwork.
«Legal clinic “Legal Protection” is an actively developing one preparing future specialists who not only have knowledge, but are also ready to help people in solving their legal issues,» – said Ruslan Melykov, a lecturer of the department of State Legal Disciplines and Public Administration.
The assistance was provided within the framework of the project “Support to the displaced Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs” with the participation of the European Union.
