A military medic, a war veteran, a tactical medicine instructor and a participant in hostilities, Alisa conducted training sessions on pre-medical training for higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
In teams the participants worked out the MARCH algorithm, which determines the priorities and procedure for helping the wounded.
“The actions must be accurate and skilled not to expose yourself and the victim to danger. First of all, it is necessary to determine whether the wounded has critical bleeding. Also it is necessary to check the airways, their function and provide the necessary assistance in case of hypothermia, “the instructor informed.
The cadets noted that in today’s conditions, everyone should know the basic rules of the first aid, especially police officers. Regular practice will help not to get lost in a difficult situation and quickly help the victim.
The organizer of the event was a lecturer of the department of special physical and pre-medical training of the DonSUIA Oksana Voloshyna.
