20 higher education graduates of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs took part in the “aGAIN 2.0” Student Self-Government Development Workshop from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The purpose of the event is to develop the capacity of young people to become agents of change and providers of social cohesion in communities and to promote their active involvement in recovery processes at the level of the educational institution and the community.
The participants of the training were greeted by the vice-rector of the university, Ruslan Vradiy. He noted the role of cadet-student self-government in the organization of the educational and scientific process and emphasized that the leadership of DonDUVS supports all youth initiatives. He wished those present fruitful work, self-realization and personal development.
During the training, cadets and students learned about the directions and means of development of youth self-government regarding the implementation of their own projects in order to create comfortable learning conditions and expand the legal horizons.
The training was organized by UNDP in Ukraine with the financial support of the European Union, provided within the framework of the project “EU4Recovery – Empowerment of communities in Ukraine”, and the Government of Denmark.
