On February 20, heroes who fought for the ideals of democracy, human rights, freedom, and European future of Ukraine were honored in Kropyvnytskyi.
The city-wide events were attended by: chief of the Kirovohrad RMA Andrii Raikovych, chairman of the Kirovohrad Regional Council Yurii Drozd, deputy mayor of Kropyvnytskyi Oleksandr Mosin, secretary of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council Oleg Koliuka, rector of the DonSUIA Serhii Vitvitskiy, heads of law enforcement and military structures, representatives of veteran organizations, active members of the city community and youth.
Head of the Kropyvnytskyi diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine archbishop of Kropyvnytskyi and Golovanivsk, Mark served a memorіal mess for the dead.
The DonSUIA cadets lined up with flags in a guard of honor on Heroes’ of Maidan Square and laid flowers at the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred memorial sign.
Serhii Vitvitskyi installed memorial lamps at the memorial plaque to the Hero of Ukraine Viktor Chmilenko and the monument with photos of those who died during the revolution of dignity. He also joined the action “Angels of Memory-2024”: its participants placed paper figures of angels on nearby trees as symbols of memory of Ukrainian civilians who were shot in 2014.
