Fruitful cooperation of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation, the Donetsk Regional Scientific Center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine and the Higher School of Management of Information Systems (ISMA, Latvia) resulted in a collective monograph “Organizational and legal fundamentals for the formation of a security environment in Ukraine”.
Its authors are 25 scientists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, the National University of Law named after Yaroslav the Wise, the Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, the Sumy State University, the Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Institute of Information, Security and Law of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, the Interdepartmental Research Center for Combating Organized Crime
The publication presents a theoretical view of the concept of “security environment” as a legal category, also a theoretical and legal analysis of the key characteristics of the legislation on national security of Ukraine is proposed.
The authors considered a number of aspects of strengthening the security environment, including: overcoming threats to border security; activation of the interaction of the state authorities with public organizations for the protection of public safety and order; ensuring road traffic safety; prevention of domestic violence; application of criminal law tools to combat certain types of criminal offenses; improving protection of the security environment on the Internet, etc.
Based on the results of the research, substantiated proposals for improving the legislation of Ukraine on the formation of a secure environment are made. The monograph was published by the European publishing house “Izdevnieciba “Baltija Publishing” (Riga, Latvia). Electronic version at the link:
