The scientific event was dedicated to the theme “Legal science and state-building in Ukraine in the context of modern challenges caused by Russian aggression: theory, practice, development prospects”.
The participants considered the issues of theoretical-methodological and historical-legal development of statehood and law; state-building and law-making processes in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law in Ukraine; actual problems and perspectives of prospects for the development of the branches of national legislation and law; modern problems and prospects of social-humanitarian sciences; theory and practice of law enforcement activity in the conditions of the legal regime of martial law. The scientists discussed the themes of higher education in the conditions of modern state building, and modern police education. Problems, prospects and vectors of reform were outlined.
The first vice-rector Yehor Nazymko opened the all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference and greeted the participants on behalf of the rector of the DonSUIA Serhii Vitvitskyi: “The theme of the conference is determined by the challenges facing the Ukrainian state and national legal science. Therefore, an urgent problem today is a scientific analysis of the processes of national state-building and law-making in the conditions of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.”
The issues of the scientific and practical conference arouse great interest among the representatives of the state bodies: Deputy Head of the Office of the President Oleksii Dniprov greeted the participants. He emphasized the importance of conducting scientific and practical research, devoted to current issues of state building under martial law, which should form the scientific basis for further reforms in Ukraine, bringing the state’s legal system closer to the world and European standards.
Among the participants of the event were the representatives of the Prosecutor General`s Office, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police, government bodies and non-governmental organizations, the legal community, the academic staff of the leading higher education institutions, Universities with specific training conditions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, scientists of domestic research institutions. The work of the scientific forum was also attended by the representatives of foreign Universities and scientific institutions – German Historical Institute in Warsaw (Republic of Poland), the University named after Frantisek Palatsky in Olomouc (Czech Republic). Upon the whole 124 scientists from 40 educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic took part in the conference.
Greeting speeches were addressed to the participants of the conference by the deputy head of the Department on citizenship, pardon, state awards – the Head of the Pardoning Department Zhuravlov Dmytro, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Council Yurii Drozd.
The 3rd All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference “Legal Science and State-building in Ukraine in the conditions of modern challenges caused by Russian aggression: theory, practice, development prospects” was organized by the lecturers of the Department of general legal disciplines of the Faculty of training specialists for the criminal police units of the DonSUIA and the Department of socio-humanitarian and general legal disciplines of the faculty of training specialists for the units of the National Police of KRESI.
The administration of the DonSUIA thanks the participants of the conference for meaningful reports, interesting discussions, wishes the participants new scientific achievements and all of us – faith in our undoubted victory over the Russian aggressor.
