The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has become a finalist for the Social Innovation and Civic Engagement Award.
Our initiative, the PsychoSafe community: support and rehabilitation for those who protect us, has been recognized internationally.
Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion, our University has focused on providing psychological support and rehabilitation to the military, police, emergency service personnel, and their families. We have created the Veterans Center, a safe space where our defenders receive qualified help, engage in adaptive sports, and feel the support of the community.
This experience became the basis for our unique master’s program in clinical and rehabilitation psychology, where veterans share their experience as co-trainers.
Also, together with Lithuanian partners, we are developing the “Psychologically Safe Community” project, which will help scale our assistance model beyond Ukraine.
Now our common mission is to win! To help the PsychoSafe project win the main award, we ask you to support us with your vote: https://2025.triple-e-awards.com/finalist/id/1217
