The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs continues systematic work to form an anti-corruption culture and increase the level of legal awareness of higher education seekers. As part of this activity, the University’s anti-corruption officer, Anna Melnyk, conducted training for cadets dedicated to the start of the declaration campaign.
During the event, the specialist explained the key requirements of the legislation in the field of corruption prevention, in particular the provisions of the Law of Ukraine «On Prevention of Corruption» regarding the submission of electronic declarations. Particular attention was focused on the circle of persons subject to the obligation to declare, types of declarations and deadlines for their submission, the procedure for filling out an electronic declaration, typical errors made by declarants, as well as liability for violations of financial control requirements. In addition, the algorithm of actions in case of technical difficulties or the need for consulting assistance was explained in detail.
During the training, the participants also received practical recommendations on working with the Unified State Register of Declarations of Persons Authorized to Perform State or Local Government Functions.
