The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs together with the Kropyvnytskyi district military administration and People’s Deputy of Ukraine Ihor Murdiі launched a «Cooking for Defenders» campaign.
For two weeks, higher education seekers and activists joined efforts to make semi-finished pelmens and varenyks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The products were provided by the farmers of the Kirovohrad region.
«We are here to support the military, to send them a bit of home warmth and to remind them that they are loved and waited for. This nurishing dish will help them to quickly warm up and recuperate», said Oksana Savushchenko, a cadet of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units.
In total, the volunteers made more than 6,000 items of products, which were frozen using shock freezing. Very soon they will be sent to Ukrainian defenders at the front line.
