Training for war veterans continues at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs project “Friendly Support”.
A regular class was conducted by Volodymyr Halimskyi, associate professor of the Department of Special Physical Training. That time, the participants focused on basic boxing techniques: straight, side punches, and uppercuts.
The exercises helped develop physical endurance, accuracy of movements, coordination, and body control.
Particular attention was paid to working in pairs as an element of building interaction and team support.
“For veterans boxing is more than physical activity. It is a space for their psychological recovery, overcoming anxiety and stress,” said Volodymyr Halimskyi.
Due to projects like these, sport helps the military recover and facilitates their return to civilian life.
