At the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs 2nd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Private and Public Legal Relations: Modernization of Development in Conditions of Martial Law” was held, organized together with the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ,the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation, the Research Institute of Public Policy and Social Sciences, the Southern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice (Odessa) and the Department of Administrative Services of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council.
The purpose of the event was to discuss current problems of transforming private and public legal relations under martial law, to develop scientific and practical recommendations for modernizing legislation and improving law enforcement practice.
On behalf of the DonSUIA rector, Serhii Vitvitskyi, first vice-rector of the University, candidate of legal sciences, professor Olena Volobuieva, congratulated the participants of the conference on the beginning of their work. She noted that the topics discussed at the conference — transformation of private law regulation, ensuring national security, development of civil and labor legislation, gender policy, economic stability, and criminal law policy — are not only relevant, but critically important for the future of Ukraine. The presented research and ideas will be a significant contribution to the development of legal science and practice, as well as to the formation of policies that meet the needs of Ukraine.

The scientific and practical event was attended by scientists, representatives of state authorities and local governments, the National Police of Ukraine, bodies and units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other law enforcement agencies, public figures, lawyers, post graduate students and higher education seekers from different regions of Ukraine.
The conference participants discussed and proposed ways to modernize the legal system and prepare new legislative initiatives in the areas of constitutional and legal relations, public and legal provision of the national security, civil and labor legislation, gender policy, economic and business-legal relations, criminal-legal policy, etc.
The 2nd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Private-and Public-Legal Relations: Modernization of Development in Conditions of Martial Law” indicates the unity of the scientific community, government representatives and practitioners in their desire to strengthen the rule of law, establish the rule of law and protect human rights even in conditions of martial law.
