An information event «On state support for veterans and their family members» was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, organized as part of a joint project with the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration «POLICY OF HEROES: THE POWER OF COOPERATION».
The event brought together representatives of state institutions, social services, university specialists, war veterans and their families.
During the conversation, specialists from the Department of Veterans Affairs of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration familiarized those present with the procedure for providing housing, the functioning of digital services, as well as mechanisms for social and professional adaptation of veterans and their family members.
In their turn, representatives of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region informed the participants about the procedure for calculating pension payments and the system of benefits for war veterans, family members of the fallen Defenders of Ukraine, persons missing under special circumstances, as well as military personnel held in captivity.
Special attention was paid to educational and career opportunities: the university specialists presented areas of professional development, employment and education for veterans.
The meeting ended with a training on psychological support, during which the participants received practical tools for emotional recovery, overcoming stress, and strengthening psychological resilience.
