Higher education seekers at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs met with the Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Police General of the third rank, Artem Kysko.
The event was held within the framework of the project „Edu_DonSUIA_Campus: Stakeholder Partnership and Responsibility in Police Training”. Its goal is to form the content of educational components/compulsory electives to ensure that graduates quickly adapt to practical activities.
The participants of the meeting discussed topical issues of the effectiveness of modern methods and practical experience gained in the investigation of war crimes, which are classified as criminal offenses with significant specificity and complexity of investigation. Particular attention was paid to: the interaction of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine at the sites of enemy shelling; the work of the Center for Tracing Missing Persons in Special Circumstances; the procedure for putting a person on the wanted list; and the procedure for collecting information and evidence. They also learned about examples of investigative and operational excellence.
During the dialogue, Artem Kysko answered the questions asked by the cadets about the substantive, procedural, forensic, organizational, and methodological aspects of criminal proceedings in this category of proceedings.
