This time a regular meeting of the «Bookworms Club» in the general library of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was dedicated to World Read Aloud Day.
Librarians Antonina Harkusha, Iryna Konieva, and Tetiana Zavaleyi made a presentation of the «Book World» exhibition, during which they introduced the participants of the event to a selection of fiction and non-fiction literature of various genres aimed at popularizing reading and developing reading culture.
The main topic of the discussion was a book «Poems from the Embrasure». Its author, Ukrainian poet and military man Maksym Kryvtsov, through the prism of his own front-line experience, simply and sincerely conveyed the feelings of a person in war: from fear and fatigue to an unyielding love for life.
During the interactive exercise «My Favorite Book», young people shared stories about literature that gives hope, and the exercise «Thank You to the Defenders» became a moment of sincere gratitude to those who are fighting for our independence today.
At the end of the event, members of the book club played the board game «How Could I Not Know This?», demonstrating their erudition in history, science, and art.
