Discipline and Law Day was held for cadets at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was opened by the University’s vice-rector, police lieutenant colonel Ruslan Vradii. He emphasized that the unwavering performance of duties, adherence to discipline and law in service and everyday life are the basis for the professional development and authority of a future police officer.
Expanding on the theme of responsible attitude to official duties, Head of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department of the DonSUIA, Yana Bohdanova, informed the audience about current issues of labor protection and strict adherence to safety requirements. She also summed up the results of the academic year, noting a significant contribution of cadets, students and the University staff to supporting the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
In a separate block dedicated to accessibility issues, Yulia Herasymova, Deputy Head of the Social and Humanitarian Work Department, introduced the participants to an advisor on ethical communication with people with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of tolerance, respect for human dignity and equal opportunities.
In conclusion, Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Anna Melnyk outlined the key requirements of anti-corruption legislation, paying special attention to typical errors when filling out declarations and responsibility for their violation.
