On the occasion of the International Olympic Day, a friendly mini-football match was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, which united cadets, lecturers and the University staffers.
Traditionally, the sports event began with a minute of silence in honor of defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state.
On the football field, directors of institutes, heads of departments, lecturers and the University staffers competed for victory side by side with cadets. Despite the friendly format, the match was held in a tense struggle, and the players demonstrated skill, endurance and true sportsmanship. The atmosphere was supported by active fans, who added emotion and drive to the match.
According to the results of the match, the title of the best player was awarded to Deputy Head of the Department for Organization of the Educational Process – Head of the Unit of Planning and Organization of Training Volodymyr Veretiannikov. His confident manner of playing, leadership qualities and high level of sports training contributed to the course of the match.
At the end of the event, all participants received commemorative awards from the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine as a recognition for active participation in the sports life of the University and support for Olympic values.
