A meeting of the Bookworms Club was held in the library of the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum of Security Orientation and National-Patriotic Education of the DonSUIA on the topic: “Modern Military-Patriotic Books of Andrii Zelinskyi.”
Librarian Olha Uvarova introduced the lyceum students to the works of the Ukrainian author, who in his books raises topical issues of the strength of spirit, inner harmony, and life values in today’s difficult conditions.
The participants of the event learned about the genre features of the allegory fairy tale- “Semen’s Stars”, which combines elements of fantasy, parable and novel. The work reflects the events of the war and calls for preserving humanity even in times of trials. The book “Anatomy of a Warrior”, which is a kind of practical guide to self-cognition, inner balance, and overcoming fears was presented separately.
During the discussion, the lyceum students read excerpts from those books, analyzed key quotes, and shared their own reflections. In particular, student Kyrylo Suslo emphasized: “In the most difficult times, “Semen’s Stars” inspires us to overcome darkness and light the stars in people’s hearts.”
The club meeting was an opportunity for high school students not only to get acquainted with modern military-patriotic books, but also to reflect on the author’s philosophical thoughts that shape national consciousness, love for books, and for their native land.
