A meeting of higher education seekers with a veteran-volunteer of the Presidential Regiment of Ukraine Samvel Asriyan (call sign “Yerevan”) took place at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. It was dedicated to honoring the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who died in the battles for Debaltseve.
At the beginning of the event, those present observed a minute of silence to honor the defenders, whose courage and self-sacrifice became a symbol of resilience of Ukrainian army and the invincibility of the state.
During the conversation, the cadets, together with Samvel Asriyan, discussed important aspects of service, the experience of brotherhood and resilience, as well as the issue of the servicemen adaptation to civilian life and the role of family and community support in this process.
Anton Doroshenko, Rector Assistant for Work with Veterans of the DonSUIA, noted that such meetings help young people realize the value of freedom and responsibility, and the example of Debaltseve soldiers forms honesty, courage, and readiness for self-sacrifice in cadets.
