The biggest in the University history number of higher education seekers in “Law” and “Law enforcement” specialties graduated from the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
299 cadets in Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih wore the police lieutenant epaulettes, and 16 students who excelled in training-those of the senior police lieutenant.
Rector of the DonSUIA, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, addressed the graduates: “Dear colleagues, there were many trials that we overcame together during the years of your study. You purposefully pursued your goal – to serve and protect Ukraine and its people – and today you are taking another step on the way to its realization. We all believe in our victory and draw it closer. It is on your shoulders that the responsibility for the post-war reconstruction of the country and ensuring law and order in the liberated territories will fall. Protect the law and the rights of the Ukrainians, fight crime and take care of the society security. The acquired knowledge and skills will help you in this.”
The events were attended by: chairman of the Kirovohrad Regional Council Yurii Drozd, deputy head of the Kirovohrad RMA Kateryna Koltunova, deputy head of the Donetsk RMA Oleksandr Shevchenko, deputy head of the strategic investigations department of the National Police of Ukraine, police colonel Denis Lysenko, head of the HONP in the Donetsk Region, police general of the third rank Ruslan Osypenko, head of the HONP in the Kirovohrad region, police colonel Roman Koziakov, head of the Mariupol City Council, Vadym Boichenko, secretary of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council, Oleh Koliuka, head of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor’s Office, senior advisor of justice, Yan Streliuk, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, colonel Serhii Kononenko, first deputy head of the HOSES of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region, colonel of the civil protection service Oleksii Rodionov, director of education and science department of the Kirovohrad RMA Elza Leshchenko, head of the regional service center of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kirovohrad region, Serhii Pyzhov; head of the department of interaction with law enforcement bodies and defense work of the Kryvyi Rih city council and executive committee Ihor Miliuvanov, deputy head of the city Defense Council colonel Oleksandr Piskun, head of the Kryvyi Rih district police department of the HONP of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel Volodymyr Vasyliev, acting commander of military unit 3011 colonel Serhii Vlasov, deputy commander of the patrol police regiment in the city of Kryvyi Rih of the patrol police department in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police major Ihor Rozhenkov and other honored guests.
The senior lieutenant epaulettes were presented to the excellent graduates of the DonSUIA by: the DonSUIA rector, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, deputy head of the strategic investigations department of the National Police of Ukraine, police colonel Denis Lysenko , head of the HONP in the Donetsk Region, police general of the third rank Ruslan Osypenko, head of the HONP in the Kirovohrad region, police colonel Roman Koziakov .
Guests and heads of the University’s staff also joined the procedure of awarding diplomas to the graduates. They thanked the boys and girls for their choice and active public position.
The policemen will start their service in 20 regions of Ukraine tomorrow. Most of them will defend the law in the frontline areas.
Before that, they underwent training in the assigned units, where they experienced all the difficulties of working in the conditions of martial law, and despite everything, they remained faithful to the Oath.
“Dear graduates, you are already our colleagues. You start your career really prepared for new challenges and realities. You understand perfectly well what it’s like to work under unceasable fire from the enemy. You are the new military police, part of the security and defense forces with a powerful potential. You must know, people need you, police of the Donetsk region needs you, Ukraine needs you. Be courageous and worthy of the citizens’ trust. I wish you perseverance, professional achievements and the opportunity to work on the liberated land of Ukraine. We welcome you to join the ranks,” noted police general of the third rank Ruslan Osypenko.
The graduates held a farewell ceremony for the University flag and marched along the military parade ground for the last time.
