For conscientious and impeccable performance of official duties, significant personal achievements in activities and many years of service in the internal affairs bodies, according to the decree of the President of Ukraine, head of the department of administrative and legal disciplines of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, police lieutenant colonel Olha Merdova is awarded the medal “For Impeccable Service” of the 3rd degree.
Being candidate of Law, professor, she is the author of numerous scientific papers, textbooks and methodological recommendations in the SCOPUS and Web of Science databases, as well as international and all-Ukrainian professional publications. Her scientific works annually receive prizes in legal competitions, including those of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Olha Merdova is also a member of the working group on developing an online resource of training materials on combating domestic and gender-based violence for lecturers of the higher educational institutions under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and instructors of training centers of the National Police of Ukraine within the framework of the UNFPA, MIA and NPU project. She has trainer certificates in the following programs: “The Rights and Interests of a Child”, “NATO Training Integrity Education”, “Community Policing”, “Child Safety in Cyberspace”, “Community Police Officer”, “Convoy Service”, “Administrative Practice”.
