A European Expert Talk on the topic «European Security Vector: From the Schuman Declaration to Modern Ukraine» was held for cadets at the general library of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Librarian Tetiana Zavalei revealed historical significance of the Schuman Declaration as a foundation of the European Union creation and its security principles. She also presented a book exhibition «European Book Mix».
An important part of the studying was the speech of the invited guest – head of the Department of Language Training of the DonSUIA, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Yaroslav Chernionkov. He emphasized the key role of education, communication and intercultural dialogue as important tools for the European integration of Ukraine.
Coordinators of the EU Information Centers of the Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and the Odessa National Economic University Larysa Vornik and Iryna Shostak also joined the discussion.

The participants of the event discussed the European security system formation, cooperation between EU states in protecting democratic values and modern challenges related to the war in Ukraine, as well as cyber threats and the need to strengthen European solidarity.
