A workshop «Appreciate life in wartime: home medical care» was held for higher education seekers of the Educational and Scientific Institute for Training Specialists for Criminal Police Units named after E.O. Didorenko of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The speaker of the event was Inna Syniavska, inspector for juvenile prevention of police department No. 2 of the Khmelnytskyi District Police Department of the Main Office of the National Police in the Khmelnytskyi region, senior lieutenant of police, who is currently taking courses in the specialization «Community Police Officers». She shared with those present her practical experience of working with children and adolescents, in particular, she spoke about the peculiarities of responding to bullying, domestic and gender-based violence under martial law.
The participants discussed in detail the specifics of communicating with victims, stressing on the importance of a non-discriminatory approach. The speaker emphasized that trust between a police officer and a child begins with support and empathy.
