The EU Information Center at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted a training workshop «Discover Europe» for higher education seekers. They also viewed the thematic book exhibition «Meet the European Union».
The purpose of the events was to deepen and systematize the knowledge of young people about European countries; to foster national consciousness and patriotism; to develop their civic position; to foster respect for the national and cultural heritage of European nations.
The workshop participants learned about the history of the EU’s foundation and development, its key institutions as well as some interesting facts about it. They completed test tasks and discussed the prospects of Ukraine’s joining the European Union.
The event was organized by a coordinator of the EU Information Center Yaroslav Chernonkov, and a librarian Olha Vitkovska.
