Within the framework of implementing the state veteran policy and with the aim of comprehensively supporting war veterans and their family members by conducting sports, health and rehabilitation activities, the DonSUIA launched the «Fishing Club of War Veterans».
On the occasion of World Fishing Day, with the support and in cooperation with the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration and the Kropyvnytskyi District Military Administration, the club’s first field event took place.
The participants had the opportunity to spend time in the lap of nature, enjoy fishing, chat in a friendly atmosphere and exchange life experiences.
A friendly competition among fishermen caused particular excitement among those present. The most agile participant, who was able to catch the largest number of fish, received a symbolic gift from the University. The award was a pleasant addition to a wonderful day spent among like-minded people and comrades-in-arms.
«Such events are of special importance for every veteran. It is an opportunity to be among people of your own kind, to communicate without formalities and to feel support. It is precisely such meetings that help to restore strength, strengthen self-confidence and inspire to move forward», shared his impressions war veteran Viktor.
A joint feast of fragrant field soup was a traditional end of the event. At a friendly table, the participants continued their relaxed communication, sharing memories, military stories and plans for the future.
