Artem Kovalenko, a senior researcher at the research laboratory of Community Public Security of the faculty of training specialists for preventive activity units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, took part in an international scientific and practical conference.
During the event, the scientists discussed problematic issues and peculiarities of conducting forensic explosives expertises, expertises of missile and artillery weapons, inspections of the places of their use, identification in conditions of armed aggression. The event organizer was the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
In his report “Prospects of using space (satellite) photography while inspecting missile and artillery weapons sites”, Artem Kovalenko demonstrated the possibilities of satellite photography and the mechanisms of law enforcement cooperation with private aerospace companies.
This work is part of scientific research “Modern technical and forensic means of proof in criminal proceedings”, within the scope of the project “Support of the relocated Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, supported by the European Union.
