Within the framework of cooperation between the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and the Main Office of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region, a professional orientation and patriotic training took place on the basis of a higher education institution with specific study conditions in Kropyvnytskyi.
27 ninth and eleventh graders of Zaporizhzhia – participants of the youth patriotic movement “Baida” – during three days tried themselves in the role of cadets with the appropriate daily schedule and military training.
On behalf of the University rector, police colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, the guests were welcomed by vice-rector of HEI, police lieutenant colonel Ruslan Vradii. He wished them meeting new people, acquiring new knowledge and bright impressions.
The University teachers and cadets organized and conducted the following activities for young patriots: legal and police quests “I, as a subject of legal relations” and “Information technologies and the use of a situational 3D designer”; a workshop “Fundamentals of forensics”; a sports master class; police activity “Self-defense”;an interactive “Missing child”; a tactical relay; a psychological training; classes on the basics of fire training and pre-medical aid.
“Baida” participants also got acquainted with the history of the DonSUIA creation and formation, took part in “Christmas vechornytsi” and made a tour of the city – a historical and cultural center of Ukraine.
The training participants showed persistence and endurance in acquiring professional skills. They were interested in information about studying at the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum of security orientation and national-patriotic education and also in obtaining professional higher education at the University faculties, where future staffers of the bodies of pre-trial investigation, preventive activities and criminal police are trained.
At the end of the event, the participants of the youth patriotic movement “Baida” received image products of the DonSUIA. With tears of happiness in their eyes, they thanked the organizers for their hospitality and promised to return as lyceum students, University students and cadets.
