The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs continues its active work in the field of forming regional policy to ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
Rector Assistant for Gender Issues of the University, Kateryna Voievoda, participated in the meeting of the regional working group headed by Deputy Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Kateryna Koltunova, on developing a regional action plan for 2026–2030 within the framework of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1325 «Women, Peace, Security».
During the meeting, the participants discussed a draft regional plan that will define the key areas of the region’s work over the next five years. The main focus was on ensuring equal participation of women and men in decision-making processes, developing a gender-sensitive approach to security challenges, supporting war victims, and rebuilding communities regarding the needs of different categories of the population.
Strengthening interdepartmental cooperation, developing mechanisms to combat sexual violence associated with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as creating a safe and inclusive environment in communities were discussed separately.
