As part of the joint project of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration «HERO POLICY: THE POWER OF COOPERATION», an information event dedicated to issues of state support for war veterans and their family members was held at the University.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Department for Veterans Affairs of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Halyna Mamontova, and Head of the Department of Social Support for Veterans and Their Family Members, Viktoria Sukhetska, introduced those present to current state programs, features of housing provision, opportunities to use digital services, as well as tools for social and professional adaptation of veterans.
Olena Romanchenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kirovohrad region, informed about the specifics of pension payments and benefits for veterans. In his turn, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department of the DonSUIA Police Lieutenant Colonel Mykola Boichuk spoke about employment opportunities and social adaptation, emphasizing: «At the University, we are creating a space of trust where every veteran can get a quality education and receive the necessary support for professional realization».
Educational opportunities and conditions for admission to a higher education institution with specific learning conditions were presented by head of the unit for organizing career guidance work of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work, police lieutenant colonel Halyna Izotova. The event ended with a psychological training «Psychological relief and emotional support», which was conducted by psychologist of the psychological support unit of the DonSUIA Personnel Support Department Oleksandra Kharchenko. The training focused on overcoming stress and strengthening the psychological resilience of the participants.
