The Kirovograd region track and field championship was held in Kropyvnytskyi at the municipal institution «Regional Specialized Children’s and Youth School of Olympic Reserve № 2».
19 DonSUIA cadets under the guidance of head of the department of special physical training, coach of the highest category Ihor Shostak, as well as coach of the highest category of the Complex Children’s and Youth Sports School № 2 of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council Vitalii Parkhomenko, once again confirmed that persistent and systematic training ensures high sports results. Team performance results included 6 gold medals won by Daniil Polovyi (60 m), Oleksandra Skyrda (long jump), Yaroslav Vysotskyi (400 m), Polina Panasenko (400 m), Viktoriia Tkachuk (1500 m), Anton Khorolskyi (800 m); 5 silver medals won by Karina Tkach (200 m, 800 m), Nazarii Morhun (1500 m), Anatolii Datsko (400 m), Yaroslav Vysotskyi (200 m), Elina Kosyk (60 m); 5 bronze medals won by Oleksandr Doroshenko (400 m), Anatolii Datsko (200 m), Vasyl Misechko (1500 m), Elina Kosyk (200 m), Bohdan Tymoshenko (800 m).
It is worth noting that on the eve of the competition, Igor Shostak received a certificate of completing refereeing courses, which gives him the right to referee at the championships of Ukraine. This once again testified to the high professional level and constant professional development of the University’s representatives in the field of athletics.
