A meeting of higher education seekers with Bohdan Naumenko, a neurologist, military serviceman, and a writer, took place at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs
Bohdan Naumenko dedicated himself to serving people. After graduating from the Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy in 2019, he worked in Dnipro medical institutions. With the outbreak of a full-scale war, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since September 2023, he has been working as a doctor in the neurological department of the Military Hospital of the Eastern Region, saving the lives of Ukraine’s defenders every day.
Along with his medical and military activities, the neurologist proves himself as a talented writer. Back in 2017, he published the fiction book “On the Edge of the Blade”, and in 2021 he became a co-author of the literary collection “Sunrise”.
He is currently preparing new publications – “Phantom Memories” and “Unlimitedly Suitable”, in which he reflects life’s trials and the realities of war.
For dedication to his profession and service to the Motherland, the military got state awards: Cross of the Medical Forces (order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine dated 11/19/2024 No. 1961); Breastplate “Badge of Honor” (order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine dated 08/12/2025 No. 1056).
The meeting with Bohdan Naumenko became an important event for the DonSUIA cadets, which combined a story about the medical and military front, as well as literary activity. His life path is a model of the courage of a warrior, the sensitiveness of a doctor, and the talent of an artist.
