Higher education seekers of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Artem Bondarenko, Olha Senychak, Valeriia Maklakova, Denys Abzalov together with Associate Professor of the Department of Operational and Investigative Activities and Information Security Svitlana Tatarenko and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Forensics Oleksandr Kvashuk participated in the “Autumn School on the Investigation of Crimes Related to Human Trafficking.”
The goal of the project is to help the National Police of Ukraine increase the efficiency of the fight against crime in the field of human trafficking, including crimes committed with the use of digital technologies.
The school participants underwent training in investigating such crimes, received methodological developments on conducting interviews with children who had suffered from sexual violence, and also participated in simulations of investigative (detective) actions – inspection, search, and interrogation. During practical exercises the DonSUIA cadet tried on the roles of investigators, operational officers, experts, and psychologists.
The event took place within the framework of a joint project of the OSCE, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine “Strengthening the Capacity of the National Police of Ukraine in Investigating Crimes Related to Human Trafficking, Including Those Committed with the Use Cyber Technologies.”
